CLARIONLEDGER.COM Astrid Robison Pearl Astrid Lashay Robison, 5 month old daughter of Samantha Robison and Britton Grant passed away Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Blair E. Batson Childrens Hospital in Jackson. Visitation is 6-8 pm Tuesday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services are 12 noon Wednesday at the funeral home with burial in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl. Astrid was a lifelong resi- Thomas Mooney Oxford Thomas Eugene Mooney, 91 entered into Paradise on June 1, 2011.

He was born October 25, 1919 to Zelotus Whitfield Mooney and Anna Lowe Davis-Mooney in Oxford Mississippi. He served in the US Air Force during WWII from October 1942 thru June 1945. He married Esther Imogene Jones and in 1946 they had a son, Thomas Stephen Mooney. He owned Mooney Furniture Repair and Upholstery in William Nolan Jackson William H. Nolan, 90, passed away Thursday, June 2nd, at the Hospice Unit of the V.A.

Medical Center in Jackson. A graveside service is planned for Thursday, June 9th at 10:00 a.m. at Wright Ferguson's Parkway Memorial Cemetery in Ridgeland. Visitation will be held from p.m. on Wednesday evening, June 8th.

Mr. Nolan was a native of Philadelphia, PA, but lived in northeast Jackson for 49 years. He attended Overbrook High School in Philadelphia, University of Georgia in Atlanta and the Atlanta Law School. He served as an infantry platoon leader in France during World War Il with the 358th Regiment, 90th Infantry Division. He was awarded the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart with Three Clusters, Combat Infantryman Badge, and the Croix de Guerre.

After retiring from the U.S. Army, he was an executive with the General Services Administration for many Rob Chapman Meridian Graveside services for Rob Lyons Chapman "Chappy" will be held Friday June 10, 2011 at 12:30 at Magnolia Cemetery with Reverend Hugh Smith officiating. He was born in Havana, Cuba, to Roy and Ernestine Chapman. He attended The Cathedral School and Candler College in Havana. After moving to the United States, he was drafted and attended the Army Communications School prior to serving in Italy for the US Army in WWII. His service was recognized with a Victory Medal, a European African Middle Eastern Service Medal, an American Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal. After returning from the War, he married the love of his life, Wyc.

Aviation was Rob's passion, he owned a small plane which he loved to fly. Later in life he took to the road in his RV, often spending months away from home seeing the US, and making many friends along the way. Rob had a zest for adventure, he enjoyed entertaining and conversing with his friends, family, dent of Pearl. Survivors include her mother, Samantha Robison of Pearl; father, Britton Grant of Pearl; brother, Maddox Elliot Yelverton of Pearl; maternal grandparents, Karen and David Nations of Florence and William and Ruth Robison of Pearl; paternal grandfather, Eddie Grant of Pearl and Alma Lewis of Pearl. She is also survived by a number of aunts and uncles.

With the passing of his first wife he married Eddie May Vickers and was equally devoted to her children. Following her passing he lived the last several years in Phoenix Arizona. Mr. Gill was born on November 11, 1939, near Winnsboro, Louisiana, to Golden Levond Gill and Mattie Mae Brown Gill. He was raised in Mississippi and moved to California as a teenager. Mr. Gill began his adult life working at Hoag Memorial Hospital in Newport Beach, where one of his responsibilities included bringing children from the children's ward to surgery.

In her early twenties she became involved in church youth work. She served as Youth Director at both Marvin United Methodist and Richland United Methodist Churches where she had the chance to touch the lives of many Rankin County area youth. In 1998, Annette married Kevin Davis, moved to Braxton, and soon became a member of New Zion Baptist Church where she remained until her death. At New Zion she worked with both the youth and the children. For several summers, until her health failed, serving in the capacity of Vacation Bible School Director.

Earl Davis Ridgeland Earl Davis, 89, died Saturday June 4, 2011 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. She has often enjoyed and planned a trip white water rafting, to the beach, or a walk to a waterfall with her youth groups and her family. Summer Vacation time and other family outings have provided great pleasure during her life. Annette has held many jobs during her working career.

Some of the longest have been on the Staff of Galloway United Methodist Church, Icon Office Solutions in Jackson where she worked as an Inventory Control Manager, and Mississippi Allied Families. In the last few years, health issues helped lead her to become a stay-home mom. At home, even through her own illness, she has graciously helped her husband care for her grandmother in-law, Freddie Davis.
